Several places to look for cheap jigsaw puzzles are second hand stores, yard sales, flea markets, and the like. You might find some cheap ones on eBay.

What sort of nostalgia jigsaws are you looking for? Are they jigsaws with nostalgic scenes, or actual jigsaws from your childhood or earlier?
